JOSHUA HARRISON

MSN, RNP, AGNP-C

Josh’s path to dermatology began not in a clinic, but on the front lines.

What started as a commitment to serve his country evolved into a lifelong dedication to healing. With the aging baby boomer population and rapid growth across Maricopa County, Josh recognized a critical gap in dermatologic care for older adults—an insight that ultimately inspired the founding of DermRight.

A graduate with honors from Boston College’s William F. Connell School of Nursing, Josh is a board-certified Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, trained and specialized in dermatology. He is licensed in both Arizona and Massachusetts and remains committed to advancing his expertise through continuing education and attending conferences. He is an active member of numerous professional organizations and has a special interest in hormone replacement therapy and weight management.

In 2002, following the events of September 11th, Josh enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving as an Infantryman and Cavalry Scout during two deployments to the Middle East. It was there, as a combat lifesaver, that his calling to medicine took hold. Throughout his career, Josh has delivered care across diverse clinical settings, but dermatology consistently stood out as his passion. While working at one of the largest dermatology practices in the Northeast, he saw firsthand the disparity in care for older adults and became determined to help bridge that divide.

In 2018, Josh relocated to Phoenix with a clear mission: to provide high-quality dermatologic care to homebound individuals and those with limited mobility. Since then, he has committed himself to bringing care directly to his patients—offering not just medical treatment, but time, dignity, and respect.

When he isn't on the road visiting patients, Josh stays busy traveling and camping with his wife and three children. Their home is made even livelier by four rescue dogs, who remind Josh every day of the importance of compassion, patience, and a well-lived life.
